I really like this place. Friendly staff, very casual. Outdoor seating not so comfy but love sitting out there and visiting with my friends. Go for the atmosphere when you want casual and just to hang out after work. Food is good, portions served are too large for me so I like al a carte. Beer section is good, I like to mix it up with the different micros to try. I've had better mexican food, definitely not authentic but they're not trying to be. I've certainly had much worse. Not a pricey place by any means. bottom line I would go back and I have d/t the fact that it's a nice place to hang out, visit and relax. atmosphere is just kick back and sometimes that's just what you want.

Extremely bland food, extremely noisy, apathetic waitress, wrong food (twice in same visit) make us not repeat customers Two years ago my wife and I tried this NB local business. We were disappointed, not sure why, but we were. We decided to give it another shot, and we were disappointed once again. The sign in front of the restaurant says "support your local businesses..." well, if Senor Luna wants support they have to earn it, simply dropping a sign on their property, guilt-tripping other restaurant-goers whom pass on their way to a considerably better dining venue Bluemound Road, isn't good enough. They should begin by providing quality food and service. We were really disappointed with Senor Luna. The food was extremely similar to something dumped out of a can and dropped into a microwave. After I ordered their combo plate #1, they brought my meal to me about 5 min later but forgot the PORK taco. A while later once our waitress returned, I made note of the dilemma. She realized her error, and in less than 1 minute, a BEEF taco made its way to my table. I didn't say anything because now they error ed twice and it would just be embarrassing to the waitress at this point. The atmosphere inside the restaurant can best be described as loud. We were the only indoor diners that late Friday afternoon but yet had trouble keeping a conversation. There was this persistent vibration under the floor where my feet rested. It was so bad that my feet eventually vibrated asleep. If you choose to give this dump a shot, don't sit under the "iron-looking moon artwork", that's the table with the odd vibrating floor. Really annoying. On the positive side, it wasn't busy for Friday at 6:30 p.m. Sorry, that's about all I can say remarkably about them. I think next time we have a tasted for "Mexican" I'll just go to Pick and Save or Woodmans and buy a couple cans of beans and rice; It might actually be more impressive.

Disgusting I think the burger was bad . Smelled bad. It was recommended by our waitress. She said it smelled funky and still charged us. Do not go. Quesadilla not much better. Horrible.

Decent Tex-Mex place...nice simple interior with a Pool Table. They have Happy Hour 2 for 1 M-F 2-6 I just didn't like the food much. Super Greasy and they just go overboard with Cheese in everything. I've been here twice for lunch as it's pretty close to my work. The first time I got Chicken Chimichaga & today I got Small order of Chicken Quesadilla & chicken Corn Tortilla Soup. Chicken Chimichaga & Chicken Quesadilla were SuperLoaded with cheese & grease was all over my plate - not a healthy sight at all =)). However, too much of cheese spoiled the party. The food tasted decent, but I felt something weird about the way cheese tasted both times. Only soup was good. Not for me! Sorry!

Luna's is a nice bar and restaurant on the backside of the New Berlin Industrial Park. It is pretty well known for its good food, and makes a good after-work destination for dinner and/or socializing. An outside seating area is sometimes enjoyable if the weather is right.

This place has good Mexican food and a clean, nice laidback atmosphere to dine in.

Stopped in after a long bike ride and sat on the patio. We had the Cuban sandwich and fish tacos which were both pretty good. They had a happy hour that went all day (Sunday) and a pretty sweet set up inside. We will definitely stop in again.

The Senor Luna Mombo Combo Fajitas are the best!! The portion sizes are very generous so my boyfriend and I usually get the guacamole (excellent) and share a meal. The wait staff are very attentive and are always friendly! I really like the outdoor seating when the weather allows! My only gripe is, I wish they had a larger tequila selection!!!

Go for the drinks and the outdoor seating, not the food. It's pretty bland and greasy. Even Taco Bell has more spice than Señor Lunas. It's always empty but still takes forever to find a waiter when you first walk in. Not sure where they're hiding.

Senor Luna is more bar than restaurant. Even at lunch, it's smoky and feels very much like a bar. The food is decent for the price, albeit uninspired. but the rice and beans are disappointing. I feel like I keep singing this same refrain: I may go back after the Wisconsin smoking ban kicks in.

Went with some friends to Senor Luna just recently. I had been there in the past and was not that impressed with it but I had some gift certificates that had been sitting around for over a year so I figured I'd better use them. Called ahead because we had a larger group and they said they would have an area set up for us when we came, and they did. Great! Wait staff was very friendly and attentive, I have no complaints, they did a great job. Atmosphere is comfortable and it feels like a cozy neighborhood place, which it is. The food - this is where it takes a turn for the worse. I really can't think of anything that any of us had that we would say is really good that we would go back for. Our group ordered, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, etc. Half of the food was cold - the meat was COLD, like out of the fridge cold. Ordered an app of queso and chips, it was Sam's club cheese sauce and chips, (that would be nachos at a movie theater) So very disappointing. Margaritas were pretty good but not good enough to justify the rest being so Not Good. I can only describe it as very american mexican food. They try but they missed.

We ordered takeout fajitas, and they were very good. The food is fairly Americanized, but it seemed fresh and hot. Prices were reasonable

I like to call this restaurant by it's English name--Mr. Moon. This place is one small step towards good food and one giant leap towards satiety! The Mexican food is somewhat Americanized but still tastes pretty good. The three salsas given with dinner looked homemade and two of them were enjoyable. The combination of flavors in the chili con queso and ground beef enchiladas were done well but I wish they were a little spicier. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meal and most of us took home leftovers. The service was pretty good and the prices are reasonable (most dishes $7-12). If anyone is looking for Mexican cuisine in New Berlin, then check out the good eats over at Mr. Moon.

My family and I went here to use a coupon for lunch on a Sunday, but was surprised to find the establishment was more "bar" than restaurant. I was also disappointed to learn that although the sign out front that read "buy one get one drinks today" it did not apply to me buying a drink and my wife's being free... rather, we ended up paying for drinks and receiving coupons for a second free drink for use any day but Saturday. Given that we drove 20 miles to try the restaurant, I didn't plan to drive back with two drinks in me, nor did I plan to come back unless the place was decent. It turned out the food was very nice, but I wasn't into bar-heavy atmosphere and felt a little cheated by the "drink special" Cest la vis... we don't plan to go back.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
